This report describes the evolution of reflection, debate and approaches to agricultural development in recent decades for each continent (with a greater focus on Africa ) . He recounts how they went from agriculture to the heart of rural development in the 1960s, the decline in investment in the 1980s , to see his renewed presence in the national programs of development today .
